Annunziata, municipality activates urgent new works
A separate procedure proceeds while the previous contract remains disputed.
Messina announced urgent work on the Annunziata stream to restore water flow after the earlier worksite stopped and subsequent weather events worsened conditions.
Plans cover the channel, embankments, accumulated material and erosion damage.
The municipality says the previous contractor abandoned the works. The new award is separate from the disputed earlier contract and does not resolve that dispute.
